The EGU South
Eastern Group qualifying stage of the English
Boys County Championship took place at Five
Lakes Golf Club in Essex on the 29th April.
Dissapointment as Hampshire finish 8th.

League is hotting up (SWHJL
Section)
An excellent win by Rowlands
Castle at the Hockley fixture keeps them in touch with
league leaders Barton-on-Sea. Romsey, who are presently
working hard to make up ground at the bottom of the table
have the benefit of home advantage in the next round on 28th
June. |

Hayling's Colin Walsh crowned
U16 Champion
Gusting wind and occasional
rain clouds couldn't dampen Walsh's march to victory at Cams
Hall. 26th May.

2009 Junior Pro-Am at Hockley
- 17th August
Entries are now being accepted
for this year's Junior Pro-Am. Numbers will be limited for
this popular event sponsored by the Patrons of the Hampshire
PGA so don't hesitate. Entrants are required to submit a
parental consent form.

Valley Golf Club - Junior Open - 28th
Aug 2009
Another
date for your diary. Limited to 50
players, the Meon Valley Golf Club is
running it's popular Junior Open again
this year. Whilst a Daily Telegraph
qualifier, the event is not part of the
County Junior Tour and does not count
towards the Order of Merit. All Junior
golfers will be made very welcome.

League for Juniors in Hampshire
Juniors
playing out of 9 clubs predominantly in
the South West of Hampshire will be
competing for a new League Title this
season. The SW Hants Junior League will
be played rather like a Tour with each
of the clubs involved hosting one of the
rounds. League fixtures and results will
be posted here on fossie.com

Southdown League Table now complete.
This year
there will be eight clubs vying for the
coveted league title. Each team will
play seven matches at home and seven
away. By the end of the season the
league will be decided from the scores
of 112 team games!
